Ximena Amann es directora de fotografía con más de 18 años de trayectoria en cine, series y cortometrajes. Egresada del CUEC (hoy ENAC-UNAM), Ha trabajado en series como La cabeza de Joaquín Murrieta (Amazon Prime), El Palacio (Netflix) y Como agua para chocolate (HBO Max). En cine ha participado en películas como Los días más oscuros de nosotras (nominada al Ariel 2019), Ánimo Juventud, Un mundo para mí, Oasis (ganador del Ariel) y Abrir la tierra (nominado al Ariel 2020).
En 2023, fotografió Sujo, de Astrid Rondero y Fernanda Valadez, ganadora del Premio Ariel 2025 por mejor película y nominada en la categoría de Mejor Fotografía.
En 2024 realizó la fotografía de En el camino de David Pablos ganadora del Queer Lion y el premio Orizzonti por mejor película en el Festival internacional de Venecia 2025 y ganadora del primer premio a mejor fotografía en el festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia, México 2025.

Ximena Amann is a director of photography with more than 18 years of experience in film, TV series and short films, Graduated from film school CUEC (today ENAC-UNAM), she has worked in TV series such as “La cabeza de Joaquín Murrieta” (Amazon Prime), “El Palacio” (Netflix) and Como agua para chocolate (HBO Max). In cinema she has participated in films such as “Los días más oscuros de nosotras” (nominated for Best PIcture Ariel 2019), “Ánimo Juventud”, “Un mundo para mí”, “Oasis” (Ariel winner) and Abrir la tierra (nominated for Ariel 2020).
In 2023, she photographed Sujo, by Astrid Rondero and Fernanda Valadez, winner of the Ariel Award 2025 for best film and nominated in the category of Best Cinematography.
In 2024 shot the film “En el camino” de David Pablos winner of the Queer Lion and the Orizzonti award for best film at the International Film Festival of Venice 2025 and winner of the first prize for best photography at the International Film Festival of Morelia, Mexico 2025.
